Ironville Shops, Viaduct and the "completed" area

This area to the right of Ironville is the Ironville Locomotive shops. The viaduct in the background poses the biggest challenge since there is only a 1/2" of clearance between the wall and trains. I've been torn between paint or a printed backdrop for this area.

Behind the Backshop there will be a hot track, where ready engines will be staged. The area to the right of the Bascule bridge will be something under construction, or maybe being demolished. I haven't decided yet, only that the KLine moving vehicles will be featured here.

A small wharf area with dolphin pilings will be in the area behind the bridge. Maybe a flat barge will be anchored here.

This is a shot of the Sporting Valley yard area, showcasing the Postwar Era's finest accessories. The view looks back to Angel Summit. Track loops under the mountain and joins with the Ironville area to the left off camera.

Ironville at the start of installation

This is the Ironville Town area of the IVSV+S. I am just beginning to place buildings. There is a lot of preliminary work to do to this area. I am planning to bash the Lionelville buildings, adding stories, weathering and little details picked up over the years. The goal is to have a representation of a town that has seen better days, with the outset of decay. Maybe a mall outside of town has drove off customers. The place will look a little worn, like the stores are open, but the buildings need some TLC that the owners have neglected.

Legacy Engine. Conrail 6837 UBoat

Here is some crappy video showing the Lionel UBoat leaving Sporting Valley station. The jump to restricted speed is jerky, because I didn't have momentum set correctly. It is not an operating characteristic of the engine.

Video!

A 2 minute video of a Lionel M1A Mountain leaving sporting Valley Station. Engine is controlled by Lionel's Legacy Command system. Engine settings are: Trainbrake at 3/4 Momentum at 7 Roll, followed by speed steps 1 and 2

An idea for a button to wear at the TCA York show, encouraging Lionel and MTH to open up their operating systems.
